Research Interests

My research interests are mainly focused on the design and fabrication of environmental-friendly polymeric materials and their various applications, especially in water and wastewater treatment. Briefly, (1) design and fabrication of various natural polymer based water treatment agents (such as flocculants, adsorbents, and scale inhibitors), their applications, and the relevant mechanisms study from molecular levels by using modern polymer characterizations; (2) applications of two-dimensional nanomaterials in water and wastewater treatment and their mechanisms study; and (3) polymer characterization (in solution and condensed states).
